By Nicolas Vanier, with François Cluzet, Valérie Karsenti, François Berléand and Eric Elmosnino. In French with English subtitles.
In 1927, Paul, an orphan in Paris, is entrusted to a cheerful lady of the countryside, Celestine and her husband Borel, who work for a rural aristocratic landowner, Count De la Fresnaye. In the heart of Sologne, region of the Loire Valley, with the poacher Totoche, a great nature lover, Paul will learn about life but also the forest and its secrets. A heavier secret weighs on the count’s estate.
